A Druid Welcome

Welcome to the Order of Celtic Wolves. Thank you for joining the Order and I hope that it becomes an integral part of your life. I hope it benefits you and that it connects you on a physical, mental and spiritual level.

This Order is not exclusive and we welcome members from other Druid Orders. I, myself, am also a member of OBOD (Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids) and our first meetup group is affiliated with OBOD. There are other Orders that run courses and generally in 3 grades.

The lessons in this Order take a different approach. We will present facts and material on different areas, which will be uploaded once weekly. We also provide these lessons without cost. If you feel drawn to a particular area (give it several lessons) then this is the area you should concentrate on. There is no historical evidence to suggest that Bards were viewed as inferior to a Vate or Druid. If you are a creative person then the role of Bard may be the right one for you. If you love healing physically, mentally and spiritually, or use divination then you would make a perfect Vate (a Celtic Wiccan, or witch). If you like taking the lead and want to be a wise sage, then you could make a good Druid.

This Order teaches you to fish. It gives pointers, but not exhaustive information. That is where books and personal research come in.

It is my personal belief (and you are allowed to disagree) that there should be no hierarchy in an Order. An Order is a body of people and whether you are a big toe, heart or liver you are equally important. Diversity and equality is very important to the Order and we have zero tolerance to bigotry and elitism.

Diversity is something to celebrate. If we recognise that our differences make us special, then we can see that each and every one of us has something of value to give, just like the wolves in a pack.

This Order will attempt to connect you with nature and our ancestors. We all learn at different paces and there is no need to rush through the material.

Lessons and articles will be posted regularly and will be a fantastic learning tool. I have a day job and family commitments like many of you. Family is important and this Order puts family first.

You don’t have to accept everything that is presented, but you will only get out of it what you put in. I would request that you try out all exercises and read all the material. If this is not for you, you are free to leave at any time.

The ultimate goal of the Order of the Celtic Wolf is for you to develop to your fullest potential mentally, physically and spiritually. Therefore, the lessons are centred on you. However, we are also keen to establish meetup groups to mark rites of passage throughout each year, or connect those interested with existing meet up groups.

The important thing is to focus on the lessons, not the teacher.  So I extend thanks and gratitude for those who have accepted the invitation to come along. Long may you stay and prosper with the Order of the Celtic Wolves.
